  18. ASL Painter! is a full 256 color paint program with features and tools
  19. that the Paintbrush Applet that comes with Windows never even thought
  20. of. This small and fast program replaces Paintbrush for a mere $29.95
  21. and includes special effects and filtering that you'll only find in 
  22. programs costing up to hundreds of dollars more.

  24. ASL Painter! is *NOT* to be used with systems using only a 16 color 
  25. video driver.

  100. All operating instructions are in the included on-line Help file.

  102. This version is the same as the fully registered version except that 
  103. the fully registered version does not include a "Test Drive" watermark
  104. on saved or copied images. This was the best way we could think of to
  105. let everyone play with all the tools and features and still maintain
  106. a degree of protection. In this manner you can see if this program is
  107. right for you and we sleep well.

  109. Ordering ASL Painter! will get you the latest registered version.

  111. We will add tools and features in subsequent versions of the program.
  112. The support policy is to upgrade to the latest version for the cost 
  113. of materials, shipping and handling. In the USA this is generally 
  114. around the $5 to $8 neighbourhood.

  116. Known Problems:
  117.  
  118. Some video drivers don't like to run the Windows Stretchblt API call 
  119. correctly. This is used especially in the Zoom function. If you are
  120. experiencing any difficulties you may wish to try another video driver.

  122. Our experience has been that this is a function of the compiler AND
  123. the video driver. (This is our 18th project with this compiler.)
